Hello friends,
Welcome to our issue #19! It’s been a long way coming. I trust you are enjoying the holiday (for those who have one).
It’s been an exciting 7 days since you last heard from me. And I have two new articles that I will be sharing from what I wrote. Before that, let’s talk something else.
I grew with little guidance on some things that I have grown to learn that they matter. There was no one to guide me and so I was left to figure out a lot things all by myself. Mind you, I have parents who love me and cares a lot for me. Just that I wanted more than they gave, I believe all children does. We want our Papa or Mama to be our superhero to guide us on all things. Well, that’s not the important thing.
What’s important is that I found my answers and I think I found it early as well.
The future is really unpredictable. So we do all things within our to ensure we can predict it. Many times, we fail at it. But in my search, I found that the closest we can have to predicting our future is acting on principles that are true across space and time.
That is, if you act based on principles ALWAYS hold true, you will be sure of your destination even if you can’t guarantee the path that will take you there.
That was a revelatory finding for me. I discovered this a while and I’ve applied a lot timeless principles in my since then. Well, I took on this idea and wrote an article for you, so you can learn more about it. Read it here:
You Can Predict The Future By Acting On Timeless Principles
Tweet of the week
Still on the point of predicting the future, I compiled a list of resources on humans several attempt to predict the future, where they succeeded and where they failed. And more importantly, how to live with uncertainty. It’s all in this thread. Check it out.
Also, I shared a time tested principle on how to better manage your money in this thread. The thread has now been seen by more than 55,000 people. Chances are you’ve seen it as well. However, if you are not sure, click the link to ensure you don’t miss it.
Best of What I wrote
This is the longest article I have written. And I wrote it from my heart. Lol. But seriously, here’s the context:
Those who charge for their knowledge are often accused of doing so. I don’t like that because I know the kind of courage it requires for someone to put themselves out there and say to the world, I have something to offer come and buy it. I have been there and helped others to get there so I know the feeling. You will also know if you have been there or maybe you are even still at the point of taking the courage to tell the world of your product and or services.
Today, someone was accused of the same thing again and I decided to do something about it. So I wrote something in the defense of all creators. Read it here:
Should You Charge For Your Knowledge? A Defense For The Creator
Best of What I Read
Avoid Multiplying by Zero - “Anything times zero is zero,” said Warren Buffett, “and I don’t care how good the record is in every other year if one year there’s a zero…Charlie and I have seen guys go broke or close to it because 99 of 100 of their decisions were good, but the 100th did them in.” In this article, Safal reminds us again to always watch for decisions or incidents that can multiply our efforts by zero. That is return us to the beginning.
If you are not subscribed James Clear newsletter, you should. But importantly, if you missed what he shared last week, you should definitely go back and read it. Here’s the link to it: On judging your own work, and maintaining a mindset of flexibility.
That’s all for this week.
Thank you.
