MWB #41 - Tomorrow Is Not Promised, School of Experience and Some Motivation
That you have an haa moment!
Hello friends,
Thank you all for the multiple feedbacks from the last newsletter. You all are the best.
Thinking about what to share this week, I was struggling to settle on one idea. And since I couldn’t settle on one, today’s newsletter is a combination of different ideas. My goal remains the same, that at least one person would have an haaa moment by reading and go on to achieve their best. Let’s dive in…
Tomorrow Is Not Promised
That phrase usually rings in my head anytime I remember Emeli Sande. The phrase is even part of a larger powerful song - honest. Let me share with you:
Yeah yeah yeah
We may live again, but hey now, maybe not
So if you love someone, give it all you've got
Time is easy spent, but it can't be boughtSo stop acting as if tomorrow's promised
Stop acting as if you can't be honest, honest
Honest with yourselfNever let the tide of change, wash away the dream you've dreamt
Don't get left wondering, where the summer went
'Cause if not now, then come on darling, tell me whenStop acting as if tomorrow's promised
Stop acting as if you can't be honest, honest
Honest with yourselfStop acting as if tomorrow's promised
Stop acting as if you can't be honest, honest
Honest with yourselfBreathe in, breathe out, don't hold it in
Let fear fall down, let love begin
Be brave, be bold with no regrets
Try something that scares you a bit
Write your own song and sing it loud
Love who you are, stand tall, stand proud
Keep the good and lose the rest
If you know your truth, say it with your chest
Don't care so much what people think
Most wouldn't care if you float or sink
Just know the ones who love you most
Treat them right and keep them closeAnd savor every breath and cherish every day
'Cause the sun's here now, but the moon is on the way
Don't get too caught up dwelling in your yesterdayStop acting as if tomorrow's promised
Stop acting as if you can't be honest
Two things;
This newsletter could stop here and I will believe I’ve done enough for this week. Like, seriously, go back and read every line of that lyrics again. Read them patiently.
You noticed I made some lines bold. The truth is, I could make every line bold and the emphasis won’t still be enough.
But a few things to catch…
Time is easy spent, but it can't be bought - spend it wisely. Do with all your might everything that your hands find to do. Love fiercely, fight bravely, be curious and be responsible with time. And because tomorrow is not promised, all must be done with no procrastination.
Never let the tide of change, wash away the dream you've dreamt - your dreams are still valid my friend. I mean it they are. I believe they. Although the tide of change might attempt to sway you or even convince you that they aren’t. But hold a firm belief that they are valid. And you must start working on them now.
Try something that scares you a bit
Love who you are, stand tall, stand proud
Don't care so much what people think
Most wouldn't care if you float or sink
Just know the ones who love you most
Treat them right and keep them close.
Tomorrow is not promised, you must hay while the sun shines.
So next…
You Have Been Taking The Right Courses In The School of Experience
Everyone should view the summation of who they are and what they've been through as "taking the right courses in the school of experience". Because that is what it really is in the end. We are all taking the right courses in the school of experience for the next task ahead.
Many times we think life is against us that we are moving off track. Sometimes we even get completely discouraged and ready to give up. I’ve been there myself and I know I will still come there sometimes again in the future. Yet, whenever we take time to look back and reflect, we realize that it wasn’t actually that bad or that the hell we went through is the reason we have the wins we have now.
Yes, no experience is wasted, no knowledge is fruitless. We are all bound to different journeys and our unique experiences are the universe’s way of getting us ready for the task ahead. So embrace every moment do well to give your best to it.
Godspeed.
Listen To Jim Rohn More
You won’t appreciate this one until you do it. Put the name on YouTube and everyday for the next 7 days listen to anything he has to say. Even if it’s repetitive, don’t worry, just keep listening. 7 days, yes.
Just listen to him.
Here are 3 of my favourite quote of his:
“Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom.”
“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.”
Just go and listen to him.
Thank you!
See you next week.
