MWB #5 - Mental Health, Twitter & FOMO
Taking care of your mental health, a better way to use Twitter and the effect of FOMO
Hello friends,
It’s a beautiful Thursday here again.
This week I battled with my mental health. I couldn’t work at all and couldn’t write for 3 out of the past 7 days. So I’ve only published 4 new articles. All my attempt to get something done just proved abortive. It just wasn’t happening. I am fine now and that’s why I’m writing you this newsletter.
On mental health, I will just say please take care of yourself mentally. Talk with people, stay off social media when need be, see a movie, take a walk, leave your house, go out for dinner or lunch occasionally and talk to an expert if you need to. Just make sure you take care of your health in totality.
Tweet of the week
Best of What I wrote
On Saturday, my Twitter follower crossed 3,000. So I wrote a 2 path on article on “how I use twitter” - Who I Follow And More, & Beyond The Surface. It is not an article on how I got 3k followers, it is simply about how I use to twitter to better my life and open myself up to opportunities. You should read it even if you don’t use twitter. It is relevant for life’s lesson. It is a message on intentionality.
Biased Towards Monopoly - As creators on the internet, you would have noticed how the income distribution of the internet can be. The top 1% earn so much that the bottom 50% can not understand how that is possible. Well, that’s the nature of the internet, it has a bias towards monopoly. In this article, I explained the implication of that and how you can build a personal monopoly to make up for the inherent disadvantage.
Last week I made an announcement that you can now submit articles to be published on www.davidalade.com . The responses has been overwhelming and I appreciate you all. I have only published two of those. You can see them here.
Best Of What I Read From Others
Scared to Stay In: The Psychology of FOMO - this was a humbling and exposing read that has even catalysed some articles I will be writing on in the future. FOMO is the fear of missing out, and it can affect our mental health just as much as it can cost us money. Please read it.
That’s all for this week.
See you next week.
