MWB #7 - You As A Scientists, Personal Development & Passion Economy
Thoughts on science and God, personal development in the midst of busy schedule and the impact of storytelling.
Hello friends,
The week with me has been relatively interesting. I am currently seeing a series on Netflix called Snowpiercer. I like how the story is going do far. Lol. But it’s been a long wait here. Having to wait for a new episode every week is urgghh. Lol.
Working from home and living alone can be lonely at times. One of the things I’ve also been doing is keeping up with a some comedy skit on YouTube. Yawa Skit and AyoAjewole Woliagba-YPM are two that makes me laugh.

I’ve been thinking about about the concept of God as a scientist who also wants us to be scientist for about 2 years. Finally, yesterday, I put my thought together on that and those have read have been wao’ed with new understanding and some illumination. Read about it here: God Is A Scientist And He Wants You To Be One As Well. Here Me Out.
This other article is a must read as well. I wrote it on saturday in response to a question a friend asked me. How do you get time to do all that you do in combination with your 9-5 work? She asked. My response was what became the article, Nothing Has Ever Stopped Me From My Personal Development, 9 – 5 Also Couldn’t. You should read it, please. There’s a secret in it that may liberate you.
You Are Designed To Be Poor - This is a revelatory article I wrote since August of last year but never before published. I spent 8 months looking for an answer to the question “why don’t people act in their best interest for the future?” What I found was a revelation and I explained all in this article. Please read. Thank me after reading it. You can always reply this email or use the comment.
Best Of What I Read From Others
In 2019, Li Jin began exploring the concept of what a passion economy is. In her debut essay, “the evolution of the passion economy and monetizing individuality.”
She wrote “new digital platforms enable people to earn a livelihood in a way that highlights their individuality. These platforms give providers greater ability to build customer relationships, increased support in growing their businesses, and better tools for differentiating themselves from the competition. In the process, they’re fueling a new model of internet-powered entrepreneurship.”
Check this thread as well for more understanding as you read Li Jin.
What do I mean by how ”the way create value has changed”? @ljin18 said something subtle yet with great ramifications here:All the things I loved doing while growing up that were dismissed as "wasting time" are now activities that have value: - writing fanfiction (Wattpad) - painting & making crafts (Etsy) - talking to internet friends all day (Discord) - blogging (VC)Li Jin @ljin18
Best Story Wins - In this article, Morgan Housel wrote, “a truth that applies to many fields, which can frustrate some as much as it energizes others, is that the person who tells the most compelling story wins. Not who has the best idea, or the right answer. Just whoever tells a story that catches people’s attention and gets them to nod their heads.” It’s a compelling article that you should read.
I’ve shared similar perspective about this in the past before:
